Don’s Produce has been in operation since the early 1970s. The Uselmans farm in the rich soil of the Wisconsin River valley that stretches out as the Lower Wisconsin continues its route down to meet the Mississippi. They grow a wide variety of crops but are most known for their amazing tomatoes and incredible sweet potatoes. Don and Mary put up their first greenhouse for tomatoes and cucumbers in 1994. You’ll find Don and Mary at many of the farmers markets around Madison, including the famous Dane County Farmers Market Saturday’s around the Capitol Square. For the Wisconsin Food Hub Cooperative, Don and Mary grow a number of vegetables including; tomatoes, green beans, winter squash, and sweet potatoes.
